[link] She does some amazing pics of Merida with Hiccup I loved it so much I did this of her sketch! [link] How We Met:Merida and Hiccup Comic 1 [link] How We Met: Merida and Hiccup Comic1
I always thought they'd be good friends if they ever met Good thing Astrid's not around at the moment XD I really like the colors and effects, great job
DAMN! I really need to see Brave! I wanted to see it when it came out, but never got the chance to. Life got crazy and I ended up getting rather distracted. It was no longer in theaters by the time things started to settle down. The last animated film I saw was "Hotel Transylvania" .... Hey, Adam Sandler and Vampires?!!! So wasn't about to miss that!
Anyway, this is a lovely image! I'm quite intrigued by the idea of shipping these two. How cool would it be if Disney and Dreamworks teamed up to do a short film about them meeting? Perhaps in a perfect world, right?
Oh and thanks! LOL I'ms ick right now I really need to lay down. But in our world we're merging them and the comic will be a 'silent' no words comic! So it'll be my challenge to color the moods just so....and it'll be your joy to get to imagine what they're saying or thinking! LOL
Awe, sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better. I'm sure you'll be able to tackle that challenge! If you're going for silent interaction, facial expressions and body language/poses are a good way to communicate the situation between characters. There's also colors and lighting, sets the mood of the situation. For exsample, in a situation dealing with danger or extreme pain, I like to use red or in sad, depressing situations I would use tints of blue, and so on, if that helps any?
It took me a while to really fall in love with the movie. I was so uptight, I don't quite understand why? But it is great give Merida a chance if at first she seems ab it more abrasive....my biggest complaint is the lack of character development in the suitors and fathers of them.....
I remember seeing a preview several months before it came out and was pretty excited about it. From what little I saw, I thought "Wow, it seems Pixar might have really outdone themselves here!" So far I've enjoyed all their films, or the one's I've seen so far. (though, I'm a bit skeptical about "Cars 2", and the soon to be, "Planes", though the "Monsters Inc." prequel shows some promise.)I think they need to focus more on making original stories like "Wreck it Ralph", which I also have yet to see... and less time making sequels. I heard "Toy Story 3" was fantastic, though I haven't see it yet either. That's a franchise that got very lucky, because usually all it takes is one sequel to completely run a perfectly good thing into the ground, (like a certain Oger we all know, *ehem*) Hopefully Pixar will leave it at 3 and not press their luck. I often worry about Dreamworks doing the same to HTTYD. There's already a plan for 2 more films and of course the series has already been released. So far, from what I've seen of that I'm not disappointed. Sorry for my babbling, I need to finish getting ready for work anyhow. Keep up the great work and hope you feel better soon.
AWE! This is just making it harder for me to decide if the pairing in my newest story will be Mericup(Merida/Hiccup) or Jardia(Jack(rise of the guardians)/Merida).
